In short, Ebay is not worth it for casual sellers any more. Why? Too expensive, too much of a hassle, and too much risk. My parents passed away a few years ago, and we recently put the house up for sale, in the meantime he has been selling all household items none of us want. He was grateful to ebay, and was a loyal customer. He said it's not worth, too much hassle.there are really no auctions on there any more. The money he made would fund a vacation for his family (partially). My brother is a good example.Every year he used to collect all the sellable items in his house (including a few items he borrowed from me from time to time) and sell them on ebay. And more and more I see myself buying on Amazon. If my sales on ebay dwindle I want to be able to make it up on Amazon. I am not a big fan of Amazon, but the question was asked "why did you rob the bank", "because thats where the money is". mostly on ebay, but also on amazon, and another site. But will be hard to tell since ebay looses buyers regularly. We will see about the "Mad Money" theory. Finally I was able to get my money back from Pay Pal. E-bay said sorry can't help you get your money back. One sale was cancelled by the seller or E-bay. Last items I purchased I did not know were from China one of e-bay s scams. They will have the rep as the China wait to get it site. They think that Chinas lower prices is going to make up for it. There is lots of sellers like me so get ready to find out where your money was coming from E-bay. I just don't want to make a job out of it with too many sales. I suppose if I spend half of the fees I'm paying to E-bay to Google to advertise my Website I'll make even more than I do on e-bay. I just haven't bothered to focus that much on other sites because since 2003 it's been my mad money. No big deal I'll likely make more money with out all there rip off fee games.
Since I don't really need e-bay I suppose if they don't accept Pay Pal I'll also start buying some where else. E-bay is my mad money for Pay Pal I also use for buying. LOL! I will do as I want and will likely move on.
